About the House, and how it's used during the different seasons.
During the months of November to April the house is used as a bed & breakfast, where rooms are rented out individually - you can book directly on our own website’s booking button or by sending an email to info@plantationhouse-srilanka.com. You can also book through booking.com, expedia, agoda etc.. You will get a better rate, when booking direct via our own site. During the months of May - October the house is rented out as a 3-bedroomed house, giving the guests exclusive use of the house, garden & pool. The upstairs part of the house is closed during these months. Should you wish to rent out the additional 2 upstairs rooms (both ensuite), you can do so - making it a 5-bedroom house. On Airbnb we only advertise the house as a 3-bedroom - but this too can be changed, on request. Should you wish to rent out the property during these months (May-October) - please drop us an email (info@plantationhouse-srilanka.com), when we will be pleased to give you a quote. We do not offer an online booking from our own website (yet) for the whole house - this has to be done via an email request.

‘I've booked via Airbnb, and renting the house as a 3-bedroom house, will we have exclusive use of the house, pool & garden?’
Yes, you will be the only guests, and have exclusive use of the house. There will be a housekeeper during the day 8am - 4pm.
‘What type of electrical plugs do you have?’
The house has the same type of plug outlets as the UK
‘Can you arrange a transfer from Colombo Airport to Plantation House?’
We are happy to arrange a transfer for you. We have a few local, reliable drivers, who will meet you at Colombo Airport in the arrivals hall, with a name board. They have airconditioned people-carrier or car. The rate is Rps10,000 from Colombo Airport to Plantation House (which is the equivalent of about US$65.00 or £50.00. The return transfer fee is Rps9,000 (slightly lower - as the driver does not need to pay to enter the airport or pay for parking).
